檀香扇是指用檀香木制成的各式扇具，如折扇、宫扇、团扇、立扇等，具有天然香味，馨香四溢，藏存十年八载依然幽香阵阵。其制作工艺有：拉花、烫花、绘画、印花、镶嵌和接骨等。一般经锯片、组装、锼拉、表面、绘画和安装流苏等十多道工序制成。檀香扇是江苏工艺的一大特色。
