我们伟大的祖国拥有许多精美绝伦的历史文物，它是历史的遗存，是历史发展进程的见证。而现代工艺美术精品与历史文物一脉相承，当属历史的延续，并以迷人的魅力吸引着人们，产生及其巨大的凝聚力和感召力。
我国教育家蔡元培先生一贯主张“以美育代宗教”（《蔡元培美学文选》）。鲁迅先生说过”凡有美术，皆足以征表一时及一族之思维，故亦即国魂之现象“（《儗播布美术意见书》见《集外集拾遗》）。
遵循江泽民总书记的“弘扬民族文化，发展传统工艺“的题词精神，在江苏弘业国际集团领导下，由江苏省工艺品进出口集团股份有限公司募股投资与办的爱涛艺术馆于一九九九年五月八日隆重开馆。我们以挖掘、整理、收藏、展示中国优秀传统工艺及民族文化，并为之发扬光大为天职。近几年来，我们实施精品战略，拓展传统工艺，展示时代精神，精心组织策划制作了大量上乘佳作，其中玉雕、刺绣、红木雕刻等方面精品代表了当今江苏乃至中国的最高水准。展现在我们面前的玉器、刺绣、紫砂、青铜器、红木家具、名家字画等两千余件工艺精品蔚为壮观。其工艺之精湛、构思之巧妙，材质之优良，叹为观止。我们不仅感到中华民族文化的博大精深，同时精神上感到莫大的欣慰和鼓舞。
在进入知识经济的跨世纪时代，如果大家将爱涛艺术馆视为一份弘扬中华民族历史文化的生动教材；如果将爱涛艺术馆作为一个中华民族传统文化及素质教育基地；那我们就有了发展的土壤和养分，也算江苏爱涛艺术精品有限公司献给二十一世纪人们的一份厚礼。

China possesses enormous superb cultural relics which are the legacy and witness of history.Mordern arts and crafts exquisite works can be traced to the same origin too.Their artistic charm strongly attract and impel people.
The following viewpoint of two scholars are about the relationship between arts and spirit.One scholar is Cai Yuanpei,Chinese famous educationist,he advocated replacing the religion by the aesthetic education.Another is Lu Xun,a well known writer,he declared that arts embody the spirit of a nation.
According to the inscription by Chinese President Jiang Zemin ‘broadening the nation’s culture,developing the traditional arts and crafts’,Artall Gallery,which is invested by Jiangsu Arts and Crafsts Import & Export Corporation of Hongye Internantional Group,was established and opened to the public on May 8,1999.
Aiming to explore,collect and exhibit Chinese traditional culture and arts,the strategy of exquisite works is carried out to develop the traditional arts and crafts,and show the spirit of the times.
In recent years,a bariety of masterpieces which embody the supreme standard in Jiangsu Province and even in China were successfully planned and manufactured.Those exquisite works with distinguished local artistic characteristics include jade carving,embroidery and rosewood carving.
In Artall Gallery,there are more than 2,000pieces of exquisite works which present a splendid sight such as jade ware,embroidery,Zi Sha pottery,bronze ware,rosewood furniture,painting and calligraphy.From these masterpieces,people can be touched by the broad and profound of the traditional culture.
